The Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Church "St. George" is a religious body incorporated in the State of California and founded in Los Angeles on December 08, 1960. This church is dedicated and commemorated to the Saint Great Martyr and Victor George. It was consecrated on 19 September 2004 with the holy relics of St.Trifon, our second heavenly angel. The life and activities of the Bulgarian Church Community "Saint George" are conducted according to the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ, given in The Holy Bible, and in the canons of the Holy Orthodox Church. They follow the established order and traditions.

        The Bulgarian Holy Orthodox Church "Saint George" is an integral and inseparable part of the millennial Bulgarian Church and canonically recognizes the Bulgarian Holy Synod as the supreme guardian of the Bulgarian Ecclesiastic Independence and a true warrant of the religious unity within and outside of the borders of Bulgaria, and as the sole safeguard and treasured force against the decomposition and ethnic partitioning of the Bulgarian state and church patriarchal traditions. Our church is a member of the Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Diocese of the United States of America, Canada and Australia. Within the Diocese the church recognizes the canonical hierarchy and structures under the episcopate of the presiding Metropolitan or his agents and successors.
